Enjoy your Best Stay in the Center of Madrid

Madrid is fun, but we couldn´t even get into this property. Positive: We couldn´t get in, so not much really. Negative: We arrived with a 6 digit electronic access code, only to discover that the electronic lock arrangement had not been connected. There was a key box, but the property manager could not give us the code to open that. They also only spoke Spanish, which made explaining the problem rather difficult, even though we do speak some Portuguese. (We ended up sending app translated texts). We eventually called Booking.com Customer Service (who answered from Singapore). They formally contacted the managers, who eventually said that they could not let us in. We then re-booked another property, which worked out fine. Support from Booking.com was OK.

Great apartment with a great location. Would stay again Positive: The location was amazing. The apartment was lovely and very well taken care of. Had everything that you would need. Very comfortable with plenty of supermarkets and restaurants close by. Negative: The outside noise was loud 24/7. Sound proofing wasn’t great but could get over it. The stairs to the bottom bedroom didn’t feel the safest. I didn’t personally go down them due to the fact they move but the kids had no problem going up and down them. When trying to contact the property to get an earlier check in time no response was received.

Posizione Ottima! Positive: Ottima posizione, tutti i servizi sono vicini, supermercato h24, metro a mt. 100, appartamento nuovo climatizzato e molto ampio.

Positive: Inside, while very little space, looked recently furnished. It looked like an exercise in transforming very little space to the best one can. Negative: Lot of things. Mainly 1. The house is right on the road. Very noisy neighbourhood. Lot of immigrants, mostly only men. Lot of partying youngsters. Friday and Saturday night the noise, loud talking and even singing was very high up till 4 am. 2. On Saturday/Sunday which I think is garbage collection day, the house was surrounded by garbage. Even to get to the entrance, had to move bins to the side. Looks like this property was unused for a long time and all neighbours have been accustomed to moving their bins to the front of this house. Not just overflowing bins, a lot of garbage plastic bags and other stuff were thrown on the street from early Saturday evening. 3. The staircase to the basement is so narrow and creaky and getting a suitcase down that stairs and even people going up and down is scary. 4. Immediately after you open the main door is a curtain to keep street walkers from peeping into the bedroom. This curtain fitting looks like it was stuck with paste on the roof and which promptly fell down the second day. 5. Calls to the Company number went unanswered. Voice message left was not acknowledged. Messages sent to them via Booking.com were not answered.
